Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via street information stands and community events. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe.
